It wasn’t altogether uncommon for the family to discuss the noise during dinner time. Multiple theories about the source of the noise emerged, including some that were more rational, and others that bordered on the supernatural. All avenues had to be explored.

So away they were, exploring where it could be coming from. The trouble was that the sound seemed to move around. This made it all the eerier, and even harder for anybody to pin down conclusively. They started to think that professional intervention might be necessary.
Increased Frequency
At the beginning, the sound was tolerable, as it didn’t disrupt anybody during the night. As time wore on, the noise became louder and more frequent, which started to affect the quality of life for the family. Strangeness aside, the situation was getting rather dire now too.
