After discovering that the blonde kid in the photo was her son Ed, Fiona recalls screams of surprise and disbelief in her own voice. It was really incredible, and both women were overwhelmed with emotion as a result of it. As more images began to emerge, the level of joy increased dramatically. When they told Ed and Heidi, as well as the rest of the family, they were totally caught by surprise by their story. Heidi said that the moment she learned that they had met when they were kids, her life would be irreversibly transformed. Despite the fact that they were still very young at the time of their vacation, the intensity of their relationship makes it difficult to think that they could have forgotten about one another.
