The New Queen Bee Emerges
After a few minutes, the bees seemed to start organizing themselves in a way that David hadn’t seen before. This was confirmation that they had taken a liking to their new queen, and that they were starting to act in a subservient manner towards her.
The next step was for them to start laying eggs, as a sign that they had been instructed to reproduce and grow the colony. Incredibly enough, David spotted eggs after only a short while, signifying that the removal had been successful, and that the hive could enter into a new chapter now.
A New Bee Generation
In no time at all, a new generation of bees would be born into the hive, ready to pollinate plants and flowers and helping to restore balance in the local ecosystem. David had achieved something incredible, and saved tens of thousands of bees from near death in the process.
Although most of her work is done once the eggs become larvae, the hive still needs to be organized in order for things to keep running smoothly. A queen has the important job of doing so, but she also needs to know when to rest, in order to gain clarity about the tasks to follow.
