Sleep Is Hard To Come By
Whenever sharks aren’t participating in the famous Shark Week event, it’s tough for them to get any shut-eye. To inhale, they maintain a constant stream of fluid through their gills which is their breathing organ. As a consequence, long sleep is, understandably, a difficulty. While a few sharks have figured out how to inhale while still swimming, others haven’t. Per some scientists’ observations, certain sharks seek for areas where the flow brings water through their gills, enabling them to slumber without moving. Others claim that these animals’ brains are turned shut and that they depend on their vertebral canal to maintain their movement.
