Tracy knew that Gina had no kindness or excitement in her heart for the big incoming day, and so she simply cut the older woman out of the wedding planning. Of course, Gina would not take long to find out that she had been excluded, causing her to throw a fit in front of her son. The situation between these three people was reaching a boiling point, and one particularly disastrous situation would push them all over the edge.

When Tracy had come to her own realization that Gina had to be pushed out of the picture, she had made sure to make her intentions very clear to her fiancé. Rick had now come to the point where he had to stand up to his own mother. He had to choose between supporting his partner or comforting his mother. The poor man was being torn in half.
