But there was more on Gina’s troubled mind than simply language barriers. The older woman was concerned that their lives would be endangered by entering this country with such a notorious reputation thanks to crime lords like Pablo Escobar. Plenty of Americans believe that Colombia is a chaotic murder capital of the world. While Gina might have had some real concerns for their safety, it was clear that she also had an agenda. The matriarch had not proven her sincerity yet.
