High Ponytails
From preppy debutants to pop stars like Ariana Grande, the high ponytail is an excellent way to look girly and fierce at the same time. It also stretches your face back, giving you a temporary facelift. Sadly, that much strain on your hair will inevitably lead to damage, which is probably why so many women (Ariana Grande included) opt for ponytail attachments to get this look. Give your hair a break and wear your pony lower.
Tight Braids
Here we have another restraining hairstyle that was massively popular a few years back. Although this hairstyle is considered to be exclusive to black women, that did not stop plenty of white girls from appropriating this style. While you may look super-cute with this hairstyle, the range of damages that you will also gain are simply not worth it. When your hair is that tightly wound, you can expect your scalp’s cuticles (responsible for supplying our hair with natural oil) to break. This then leaves your hair and scalp exposed to dryness and major hair damage. Your hair will also be unbalanced when you eventually remove the braid.
