According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the life span of a humpback whale is expected to be between 80 and 90 years. Their size and weight increase to 60 feet in length and 80,000 pounds in weight when 3000 pounds of food is devoured every day, at which time they go extinct.
