Can’t Be Afraid
In order to work as a beekeeper, the one thing you can’t be is afraid of your suspects. Experts like David have a deep love and connection to the bees, but are also acutely aware of the dangers they pose. The uniforms they wear in extractions is vital to ensure their safety throughout the job.
One thing that few people know is that bees are still able to sneak into the protective clothing from time to time. It’s not uncommon for beekeepers to be stung, but because they’ve dealt with so many over the years, many of them now have a higher tolerance to the venom, and are not as severely affected.
Finding A New Home
As David continued to work on the extraction, onlookers noticed that some bees were making themselves comfortable on his shoulder. It seemed like they weren’t threatened by his presence at all, which was a good sign for the family and the neighbors watching on.
The beekeeper often talks about how he enjoys the buzzing of the bees while he works, and that this is a therapeutic sound for him. You could even go so far as to say that he enjoys the company of bees, which has been something important to David since he was very young.
