More Bees Emerge
It took hours to remove just two lines of brick, but after doing so, David could see the hive a little more closely than he had been able to earlier. As he peered inside, he noticed that it might take several more hours to get the result everyone was after.
As he worked, David couldn’t help but notice that the droning sound kept getting louder and louder. The bees were disturbed by the process, with the hive going in defensive mode as a safety precaution. Neighbors watched on in fear of a swarm attack.
Seven Honeycombs Reveal Themselves
After five lines of brick were removed, David spotted seven honeycombs from when the bees first decided to settle inside the foundation of the house. The sheer size of this indicated that this was likely one of the biggest hives he would have to deal with in his career.
Mindful of every action he was performing, David knew that each move he made could have disastrous consequences. It wasn’t long before he realised that this was the most intensive project he had ever undertaken. Knowing this, he was even more motivated to get the job done.
