This Time They Are Not Playing Opossum
Opossums are nocturnal, which means they slumber during the daytime and are energetic when night falls. Late in the evening, they hunt for food. These animals do not go to hibernation, however, they do lessen their activities when snowfalls. They live in tunnels constructed of dead leaves or waste paper, which helps them to maintain body heat along with the stored calories that they have in their tails. Their most basic way of protecting themselves is to play dead so that their predators would lose interest of them.
