Just Floating Along
If you assumed sea otters always were the prettiest animals on the earth, you’re definitely up for a surprise: they get even cuter. While sleeping, sea otters slumber on their rear ends. Although this increases the risk of drifting, these animals have come up with the best remedy: they can attach themselves by weaving sea kelp throughout their bellies. The otters can’t float away because of the kelp that sprouts on the sea bed. But how about in situations wherein kelp is unavailable? They’re hugging each other. This keeps them from straying apart and adds to their adorableness.
