9. Say Goodbye To Squeaky Floors With Baby Powder
Is every step you take on your wooden floor a squeak? Bits of wood rubbing against each other could be the reason for your squeaky floorboards. Simply filling baby powder between your floorboards will solve this problem. Using a makeup brush will help push down the powder into the cracks, and hopefully, the squeaking will be eradicated. This is by far one of the most inexpensive ways to avoid squeaky floors. Baby powder will save you from the high costs of having to replace your flooring.
10. Repair Carpet Dents With Ice Cubes
Directly on the damaged spot, place an ice cube, and wait for it to melt. When it melts the water is absorbed by the carpet, and this should improve your carpet or at least return it to its original form. Once the carpet is completely dry, follow up by using a hard-bristled brush to fluff any persisting damaged spots. Alternatively, you can add fabric softener to make brushing the bumps out a much easier process.
