Sadly, Joyce was not about to part ways with her furniture and home. Stripping the place of its furnishing was bound to scrape a good amount off the total sale, and such items collectively entice potential buyers all the more. Further, whoever bought this now bare house would struggle to refurnish it in a way that pleasingly flowed with the house’s grand and historical overall nature. After all, sticking to a 1940s themes was no small task in the 21st century.

Amazingly, Joyce was not as alone as she had first made herself out to be, and wished to stay in possession of her furniture for her daughter’s sake. Such costly items would ensure that the woman would be provided for. Still, beyond her emotional and financial attachment to her furniture, Joyce was still struggling to come to terms with leaving. This was not going to be an easy transition for the old woman.
