Marilyn Hawrys Simons
We’ve had a couple of hedge fund moguls on the list, but James Simons is someone that stands out above the rest, having amassed a fortune in excess of $21 billion. He met wife Marilyn all the way back in 1977, and the two have been inseparable since. In the mid-nineties, Marily took over the Simons Foundation. To this day, she likes to donate to scientific research, and to lend a helping hand to projects aimed at making a difference in the world.
