Brass was once one of the most commonly used metals in the kitchen due to its incredible durability. Anything made out of brass will take many beatings and carry one being as useful as the day it was bought. Brass handles might hang onto your drawers for years, but they will get grimy quickly. Brass attracts a lot of gunk and bacteria, and at some stage, brass handles will get so bad that you will need to clean and polish them often.
