When a queen dies, it’s not uncommon for the bees to become vengeful and agitated. David noted that it was peculiar that this particular hive was so calm, and that they seemed to portray little to no aggression towards him.

For whatever reason, the hives were peaceful towards David. Perhaps it had to do with his loving energy, or the fact that he was taking every precaution to make sure that no other bees would meet a similar fate to the ones who were hit by the spray.
