Mont Saint-Michel
This remarkable island looks like something out of a fairy tale movie, but best believe it’s real. This picture has won a travel photography competition, most probably because the subject of the image is such a rare and beautiful sight. The image was captured and submitted to the competition by Wanaii films. The island is tucked away on about half a mile from the north-western coast of France. It has a very exclusive population of just around 33 people and this incredible picture suggests that the islanders have enough privacy here. It spans about 7 hectares of land and locals do not like to market their home as a tourist destination. That must be why it’s such a rare sight!
