Candlelights On The River
Candlelight is unanimously associated with romance in the western world, but in this picture, this is not the case. In Vietnam and many other eastern countries this is a way to grieve for lost loves ones and a means to pay tribute to them. Traditionally these ceremonies are symbolic and draw a lot of attention of locals and tourists alike. Photographer Tuan Nguyen has captured yet another amazing image for us to marvel at. This is a picture of the candlelit Nhu Y River in Hue City. Candles and Chinese lanterns have been associated with death and releasing of the spirit in the East for a long time and the concept is slowly being adopted by the western world.

This drone managed to take the perfect image of “the calm before the storm”. At the top of the photograph, you can see the pitch-black storm clouds looming over the tranquil blue waters. Storms are generally scary most of the time, I imagine that this would have been a storm of note, judging from the looks of the clouds. Captured by Balazs Buszynyak on the Southern Coastline of Iceland, the image shows us Iceland’s vast beautiful landscape once again, including the oceanfront as well as the rocky mountain range. Not many people get to visit Iceland but we would love to visit to get a first-hand experience of the natural beauty. We are, however, still very thankful to the photographers who take such amazing images that create traveling interest in individuals from all over the world.
