Fort Bourtange was built by the long-departed William the Silent in the late 16th century, it was originally meant to control the road between Germany and the city of Groningen. The building was completed in 1593. The fort was eventually given up in 1851 and was then converted into a village after it served as a defense on the German border. It’s now a historical museum. This spectacular image shows the original geometric architecture of the place and it looks like a Japanese Ninja star, the picture was taken by the talented Amos Chapple and he has the best natural lighting to create this spectacular image of perfection.

A Careless Fella
There are some ambitious daredevils out there, this guy is definitely one of them. Captured in Rio de Janeiro, this man decided to climb to the summit of Morros dos Cabritos, on a tightrope. This is one of the attractions in Rio and should be on your list if you would like to walk across the skyline on a tightrope. He was suspended over 1250 feet in the air after climbing to the summit of Morro dos Cabritos. We sincerely hope that he made it safely to the other side. Other things, less dangerous things to do in Rio include visiting one of the many beaches, the mardi gras festival, going to the amazon forest conservatories, and even gliding like a bird through the sky on a sky glider.
