Rivers of Ice

This picture looks nothing like what it actually is, I guess that’s the beauty of being able to see things from a different perspective and view. This Image captured by Max Foster actually shows us The Delta River or Jorsa River as its know by locals and it is the longest river in Iceland. The River originates from the Hofsjokull glacier and runs 155 miles right down to the South of the country. The river is always in a continuous state of change and that is quite mysterious, this is one of the most photographed areas of the beautiful country and it’s probably the reason why people from all over the world choose to visit Iceland all year round.

Barges on the Dock

This image of Barges on the dock taken by JP and Mike Andrews is another geometric piece of art. This image shows talks to us about the greater commercialization of the UK in recent times. These badges are usually used to carry cargo and are around 700 feet in length. The British Canal system is very narrow and therefore employs the use of barges or narrowboats since the industrial revolution. The average barge can travel at speeds of about 6 miles per hour and barges were originally designed to travel on inland water systems such as canals and lakes but some of them can take to the seas should the need arise.
