Tyra Banks graced the covers of GQ and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue as the first-ever African-American Model. She also made the cover of other popular magazines like Vanity Fair, Vogue, and Harper’s Bazaar and has a successful career both on and off the runway. Tyra became the first African-American model for Victoria’s Secrets Angel in 1997, appeared on the popular TV sitcom Fresh Prince of Belair (fourth season), and also many other TV series. In 2008, Tyra Banks won the Daytime Emmy Award for her production works on The Tyra Banks Show and also works as a TV host. She runs her business – cosmetic line- and is a guest lecturer at Stanford University.
