Naomi Campbell is a household name in the world of fashion as she is a part of what the fashion world deems “The Big Six” in the fashion industry. She first captured the eyes of the world when she features in the music video of one of the world’s greatest reggae icons, Bob Marley’s “Is This Love.” At the time, she was seven, but by the time she turned 16, she was already on the cover of the British version of Elle Magazine and was gaining lots of reactions worldwide. The journey to success was never easy for Campbell as she faced a lot of racial discrimination and rejection. However, with support from fashion stalwarts like Christy Turlington, Lucas Evangelista, and designer Yves Saint-Lauren, she was able to break those barriers and soared to the top. In 1987, Campbell became the first-ever black woman to grace the cover of French Vogue and was the first to do so for the Magazine since 1966. Aside from modeling, Naomi is a philanthropist who supports lots of charitable causes, an activist against racial discrimination, an actress, and a singer – she released her music album some years ago.
