In 1979, Carol Alt became a hit in the fashion industry when she graced the cover of Harper’s Bazaar. However, she never really made it big until around 1982 when she appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. She managed to feature in over 500 magazines during the 1980s leading her to become one of the most popular models of the time. Carol appeared in lots of advertisements for companies such as Diet Pepsi and Givenchy and was known in the industry by the nickname “The Face.”
